I woke up to an unfortunate discovery. The temperature had dropped well below freezing for long enough to make the leaves of our 200’ of tomatoes brittle and break off in my frozen glove.
This had been the third frost of the season. We made it through the last two with little damage and I was hoping for another miracle. A couple of weeks ago Noah and I harvested a number of big juicy tomatoes from the vines. Many more are still on the plants and many should have been ripe this week.
It's all especially frustrating as these plants had just recovered from the last frost and were starting to set flowers again. It will be interesting to see if these plants will recover and if so, how long it will take.
